My Pledge to Mother Earth

Basically, the world’s population increasing while the air pollution also increasing because human being never pay attention on this problem. We always talk about

[My pledge to mother earth]!!!

Everyday, when I open up the newspaper, the environment issue is always been talk about by many reporters in the newspaper. Everyday, there are many different activities has been carry out to help to save the mother earth.

Actually, each of everyone of us plays an important role in saving our mother earth. We can do it from a very beginning in our daily life. A very simple thing like throwing rubbish into rubbish bin is also one of the ways to save the earth. Today, I would like to make a few simple pledges to mother earth.

My first pledge to mother earth is I will use recycle shopping bag when I go for shopping. Using recycle shopping bag will help to reduce the use of plastic bag. Beside that, it also helps to reduce the amount of rubbish produces by plastic material. This is because plastic bad is non degradable materials which can cause pollution. Next I would make my pledge to mother earth that I will always remember to switch off the electrical power supply when I do not use it. Then, I will use energy saving bulb to save the electricity use in daily life. Saving energy use is one of the ways to save the resources in the earth to generate electric power.

My third pledge to mother earth is I will bring my own container to carry food instead of using polystyrene. Polystyrene is one of the non biodegradable substances, it can last for a very long time which it will releases poisonous gas into the atmosphere and can cause air pollution. My next pledge to mother earth is I will use fan instead of using air-conditioners especially at home and reduces the use of spray cans. This is because air-conditioners and spray can will release a class of chemical known as chlorofluorocarbons which can stop ozone from forming. I will share this with my family and friends to encourage them to use fan than using air-conditioners in their daily life.

My fifth pledge to mother earth is to make full use of the rain water. In our daily life, rain water can be use to water the plant. It also can be used to wash our car and house compound. It will not only save energy, it also save our money! My sixth pledge to mother earth is I will save the paper use by using double side of the paper for calculating and copy notes instead of photostating. It can reduce the cut down of tree for making it into paper and save the tree which produces oxygen in the atmosphere. Lastly, I will always remain myself to recycle the old newspaper, magazine, plastic item and glass item to support the recycle activities to reduce the rubbish produces on the earth.

Saving our mother earth is not only reduces the pollution on the earth, switch off the light for one hour but it must be always practices in our daily life every day, every hour, every minutes, every second. Love our mother earth, save our planet!

Chinese New Year Celebration In Thailand

For my second blog, I am going to share about the Chinese New Year celebration in Thailand. In Thailand, Chinese New Year also known as 'Trut Chin'. This is a festival of thanks giving and ancestor worship, and a time of family reunion. They will have days off to perform the ritual to worship gods, godness and ancestors. Beside that, visit their senior relatives when new year begins. All the practices are origin of the term 'Buying Day', 'Worshipping Day' and 'Observing Day'.

'Buying Day' is the day before new year's eve where for the Thais who have not yet preparing things and they must finished doing it within that day. 'Worshiping Day' is the day that each house performs ritual to worship thier ancestors. They worship land of gods in the morning while worship the ancestors during the afternoon. During 'Observing Day', everyone will do and say only auspicious things. 'Observing Day' is also call 'going out day', it is derived from the fact that when children and employers get 'angpao'.

My First Blog

Today English lesson is different from the usual. Our English teacher brought us to the computer lab in school . Everyone was excited the moment Lin Li told the class that we were going to computer lab. They started to pack their school bags. The reason why teacher wanted us to go to the computer lab was for us to create our blog mainly for our English subject. Most of the students in my class are good in computer so creating a blog is as easy as ABC for them. In just a few minutes, most of them were done. I had heard of blog before but never paid attention to it until today. I didn't know what to do when teacher asked us to do create our own blog, luckily my friend helped me out. I was very happy when I finally created my own blog. :)
I think it is nice that everyone can share their ideas and opinions in their blogs.
